Bowling first, Dresden scored consistently whilst losing wickets at regular intervals, eventually reaching 191 for 9 after 50 overs. The pick of the Britannia bowlers was Abhi (as ever) with 3 for 35 and our skipper with 4 for 37. The low point was undoubtedly the injury to Ashish, leaving him unable to bat and weakening the batting lineup considerably.
In reply, wickets again fell constantly, especially in the tail. Only Husnain with a superb half century and Kumar in support were able to stay for any length of time. The final wicket was that of the skipper himself with the score at 140.
So, two losses in two games – not exactly the start we were hoping for. Nonetheless, there were positives to be taken from both games and a win is surely just around the corner.
